Tackling Teen Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep as a teen can be difficult.
This short 4-week program will provide your teenager or young person with a safe and warm place to discuss their sleep habits, or lack thereof, with similar-aged peers. Your teen will learn how to achieve healthy sleep and create a functional sleep routine in a way that will not restrict them from engaging in the things they love (e.g., video games, phone, watching T.V.). This program will teach them how to engage in these activities in moderation so that their sleep does not suffer.
In addition, teens will be guided to identify, understand, and challenge their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours surrounding sleep using the most effective long-term treatments for ongoing sleep difficulties. These skills can also be applied to a range of stressors your teens may be facing including anxiety, stress, and depression.
Each week your teen will attend a 1-hour online group session, view recorded content about how they can improve their sleep, complete a sleep diary, and practice helpful habits.
Also included in this program is a weekly webinar for parents that complements their teen’s learning throughout the program. The webinars cover the program’s structure and goals, allow for questions and tailored feedback from a qualified therapist, as well as guide parents on how they can support their teen(s) in their journey to improving their sleep. To find out more click here.
